Two Men Face Charges Regarding Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Assault

Two men have been charged related to a suitcase robbery where a substance thought to be capsaicin spray caused injuries at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two robbery charges and charges for administering a noxious substance, as confirmed by court officials.

These accusations come after an probe of an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on the weekend. Prior to the attack, two female travelers had their suitcases stolen after exiting a car park lift, authorities reported.

A toddler was among those injured in the event. Several persons were taken to a medical facility and were eventually allowed to go home.

The incident – described by police as was isolated and deemed non-terroristic – resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a short time.
