The former president's Family Member Receives Expert Tips from Golf Legend Woods Before LPGA First Appearance
This young athlete boasts substantial social media presence
The young golfer will have plenty of high-profile cheerleaders as she makes her professional golf debut this Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who is the granddaughter of a former US president, received a special exemption to compete at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, operates multiple golf courses and regularly competes against his granddaughter.
"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we play some close matches," she revealed.
She mentioned that her grandfather, unable to come, told her: "Simply don't get nervous."
"He essentially suggested to go out there and enjoy myself," she added.
"From my perspective, he's just a regular grandfather. He won't be there for the tournament. He's occupied with world affairs, making him somewhat preoccupied."
While still amateur, the golfer has competed in only three events this year and has the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.
However she can get advice from Tiger Woods, who is dating Kai's mother.
"He represents the top athlete globally," Kai stated.
"Furthermore, he's an even better human being. He advised me to compete, have fun, following whatever happens."
She'll challenge some of most prominent players in professional golf at the Annika, including world number two the champion, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
Tournament organizers stated that her participation brings the sport to different demographics, especially with youth audiences.
The social media influencer boasts substantial online presence and has started an exclusive apparel and wellness label.
She begins at late afternoon GMT.
