The children's author David Walliams dropped by publishing house.

The author

Best-selling children's author and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, as confirmed by the firm.

A representative for the publisher stated: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."

Reports indicate that the move was made after an investigation into reports of inappropriate behaviour directed at women.

The firm has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, adding: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."

An Illustrious Literary Career

Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies globally in five dozen languages.

His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.

Several of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.

His bibliography includes more than 40 books in total, which features a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.

From Screen to Page

His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for the charitable sector and arts community.

The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
