News has broken that original actors Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson are set to appear once again in the latest chapter of the Hunger Games film series, titled The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. The film is currently in production.
A Major Reunion for Fans
The actors will once again portray Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark, respectively. Speculation suggests their roles will probably be featured in a brief glimpse ahead, given that the main film series concluded with their characters married and with children.
This marks the sixth cinematic outing in the highly successful Hunger Games franchise.

Sunrise on the Reaping is adapted from a recent book by author Suzanne Collins. It will be the second prequel film after 2023's The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. Returning to the director's chair is Francis Lawrence, who directed most of the previous films in the series.
